Throughout the year, APROQUEN counts on multidisciplinary medical teams from around the world to assist in the most complex patient cases.
These medical teams offer educational trainings in cutting-edge treatments for burns, as well as for cleft lip and palate.
Due to the limited health services in these rural zones, the medical team of APROQUEN travels all over the country teaching and empowering health professionals on how to stabilize a burn patient during the first 24 hours after the injury occurs.
The ABLS training has trained medics, nurses, firefighters, medical students, paramedics of the Red Cross and professionals of the Health Ministry, among others. Furthermore, medical and administrative resources, that collaborate in the burn unit of APROQUEN, are certified to teach this course developed by the American Burn Association (ABA) and recognized internationally by the Federacion Latinoamericana de Quemaduras (FELAQ).
