Mateo was born with bilateral cleft lip and palate and complications in his heart. APROQUEN’s medical team met him when he was 8 days old and at 4 months he underwent his first surgery.

His parents found out about his condition when his mother was 4 months pregnant and decided to seek comprehensive and multidisciplinary care at APROQUEN. From the first moment, APROQUEN provided support to his family on how to feed him and, above all, take care of him so that he could develop without any problem.

For Mateo’s parents, the fear was constant when thinking about an uncertain future for him.
